Through our compassionate and caring staff our mission is to provide the highest level of competence and communication, while striving to exceed the expectations of each family we serve; before, during, and after the burial of a loved one.

The Remembrance Ceremony will take place on Friday November 10 at 4:00 p.m. The list of veterans now includes more than 200 names. Each of their graves will have a new Canadian flag installed and their names will be read aloud during the ceremony.

We have recently ordered 2 curved columbaria and 3 granite benches. Next spring, these will be added to the columbaria area near the office (shown below). Like the previous two orders these are also from Carrier Mausoleums Construction Inc. in Montreal QC and they will match in the style and design. Our May newsletter is available. There have been some lovely new improvements in the cemetery from our new columbarium unity having the brick work done, to hidden surprises in our nature trails, to the start of new section signs being installed, and more. Like previous years our AGM will be held on the last Tuesday of May, which is May 30th this year, at 6:30 p.m.

We held our 2022 annual general meeting on May 31, where we were able to recap all that had been done over the past year, review financials, and set goals for the coming year. We are also pleased to welcome Janna Munkittrick-Colton as a new member to our board of directors here at Elmwood Cemetery.

Like the rest of the community, we too, are greatly devastated by last week’s events. There are no words that can describe the atrocity of what has taken place here at Elmwood Cemetery and across the region over the past several weeks.
