Welcome to Elmwood Cemetery

Through our compassionate and caring staff our mission is to provide the highest level of competence and communication, while striving to exceed the expectations of each family we serve; before, during, and after the burial of a loved one.

We aim to provide a necessary, courteous service of highest quality and value. We will take the initiative to help each family meet its immediate needs and expectations by our efforts through commitment, quality and expansion; and will do so in a manner that develops and maintains our reputation for quality and integrity within our community.

Today we saw a familiar face retire from Elmwood.

After 16 dedicated years, our Superintendent, Darlene Bulten, is retiring. Her wealth of knowledge, compassion, and care will be greatly missed by everyone.

We wish Darlene all the best and a very happy and well deserved retirement.

This past month we have received notification of the resignation of two Directors - Burton Sine and Ron Hansey. We extend our thanks for more than ten years of service; by each of them, to Elmwood. Their dedication, care, and commitment to Elmwood has left such positive impacts that will bee seen for generations to come. While we will miss seeing them more regularly, we look forward to seeing them at future special events.

Join our historic, community-based, non-denominational cemetery (est. 1810) as a part-time Superintendent. This flexible, contract role offers $1,500/month plus commissions for a minimum of 16 hours weekly. You’ll provide caring support to families, coordinate burials, manage records, and maintain our serene grounds. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. We hope this message finds everyone well as we slowly rebuild our website. Back in late 2024 we were made aware that it was down and upon inspection found multiple corrupt files. So, just like how we work hard behind the scenes to take care of things on the grounds of our beautiful Elmwood Cemetery, we have also been hard at work revamping, improving, and restoring our website. We have the basics for now, but will slowly be adding and improving over the course of the summer.
